It may surprise some people to realise that I am an expert procrastinator. What I mean is that I avoid doing many of the things that I want to do due to any number of reasons. Things such as keeping up to date with my blogging, reading, writing, and numerous other activities. And, yes, teaching does take up a significant amount of time but I use it as an excuse as well.Read More
I did it again. I spent this month writing 50 000 words for NaNoWriMo.
50 000 words.
Unlimited plot holes and mixed up timelines.
How is it nearly November again? Seriously.
I guess being a teacher means that time goes so much more quickly than I feel it has a right to. That being said, it’s heading into summer here in New Zealand which means it’s nearly the end of the year.
And, more importantly, it’s nearly time for NaNoWriMo.
50 000 words.
So much coffee. Read More
It’s that time of the year again. San Diego Comic Con.
Well, it’s nearly that time but I am back in California, hanging with my Uncle and family over here. This also means that I’ve been drinking far too many ice cold caffeinated beverages and trying to relax but also trying to stimulate my brain in a creative sense.
Recently I splashed out and bought an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil after a colleague purchased one as I saw some of the creative things she was doing with hers and it spurred me to indulge myself. And, if I’m honest, it has been one of my best purchases in a while. I’m currently typing out my post on it and, I’m impressed with the developments from my old iPad 2.

So it’s the new year and I’ve been busy doing a million things over the school break. Most of them trivial but some of them important.
The biggest thing is I have joined up with two other nerd minded people to create a collective blog called:
The aim is to have three different people update on different days of the week. I’m Monday’s contributor though I’m not sure what I am going to write about just yet. I have several ideas but none of them I’m truly sold on.
It’s been an expensive week for me. My laptop, which had survived many overseas trips, adventures and stories, finally decided to give up. After three hours of me trying to restart it and getting nothing but a flashing icon I knew that I had to shell out for a new computer. So I am typing this from my (refurbished) new MacBook Pro. I almost went back to Windows but, for what I wanted, the prices were very similar. My new laptop arrived on Thursday and, although I hate parting with money, it has been well spent.
What am I currently doing?
Everything and nothing. Do you ever get to that stage where you just are stalled because you’re not sure what you really want to do. You have ideas, mood boards, lists, and a gigantic map that highlights your next steps but you’ve kind of stalled and have pulled over while you try to figure it all out.
So, while I try to figure out my steps I will update you with my currently list.
