How is it nearly November again? Seriously.
I guess being a teacher means that time goes so much more quickly than I feel it has a right to. That being said, it’s heading into summer here in New Zealand which means it’s nearly the end of the year.
And, more importantly, it’s nearly time for NaNoWriMo.
30 days.
50 000 words.
So much coffee.
I’ve been participating in NaNoWriMo for many years now. Since 2010 if I remember correctly.
And I’ve managed to write 50 000 words every time.
This year I’ve gone in with a plan.
I spent Sunday afternoon scouring Pinterest to find 30 prompts that will go toward my story idea. I have a notebook that I’ve been adding ideas to, writing out plans, creating characters, researching strange areas of genetics.
I think I’m ready for this November…at least with regard to NaNoWriMo.
And who knows … maybe this is the one I go back to and edit…
I will always be optimistically positive… or positively optimistic.
Are any of you doing NaNoWriMo? If so, feel free to follow me @inkblotsandquills on the site.
WOW. congrats on achieving 50,000 words every time! This will be my first time, I’m a bit nervous. 50,000 sounds daunting hahaha.

It sounds daunting but I always go in with the mindset that they don’t have to be perfect sentences…it’s a chance to just write and, hopefully, enjoy yourself. 🙂 Best of luck!
